I needed foam tubes to make a tail for a costume. This pack was exactly the right size for my needs. The tail I was making tapers at the end, so I used a knife to trim down the end and a heat gun and sandpaper to form the shape. It worked 'okay', but it was hard to get even and smooth, even when I painted it with Mod Podge. Still the tubes worked well for my purposes.
But not too much lighter. Do still wish they were darker though. Otherwise great for crafting
We used these to make brooms for a Harry Potter party for kids. Perfect for our purpose - if they were less money we would buy one for everyone. We attached cut up paper bags to the ends for the bristles with tape and the tape has held up surprisingly well.
